How to turn off windows defender permanently in windows 10

It's important to note that disabling Windows Defender can leave your computer vulnerable to malware and other security threats. We recommend that you only disable Windows Defender temporarily and only if you have another reliable antivirus program installed on your computer.

That being said, if you still want to disable Windows Defender permanently, here are the steps to follow:

    1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
    2. Type "regedit" in the box and press Enter. This will open the Registry Editor.
    3. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
    4. If there is no key named "Windows Defender" under the Microsoft folder, right-click the Microsoft folder, select New > Key, and name it "Windows Defender".
    5. Right-click the Windows Defender key and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
    6. Name the new value "DisableAntiSpyware" and set its value data to "1".
    7. Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.

Once you have completed these steps, Windows Defender should be permanently disabled on your computer. However, it's important to note that this may not work on all versions of Windows 10 and it can have unintended consequences, such as preventing Windows updates from installing. We recommend that you only use this method if you have another reliable antivirus program installed on your computer.
